The Project
Parting with your wedding dress can certainly be difficult but donating your dress to TBPD can make it a lot sweeter.
At one time or another I am sure every bride has visions of their daughter walking down the aisle in her gown. But more often than not, the dress winds up hanging in a closet or boxed up in the basement.
Not only will your donation help find a cure for Breast Cancer which affects each and every one of us, but it will help another bride to live her dream too.
What’s so fantastic about this initiative is that you don’t have to dig into your pockets and spend money that you wouldn’t have spent otherwise in order to help.
The fund raising structure is pretty straightforward:
- The Breast Dress Project collects gently used dresses from brides whose weddings have come and gone. This frees up a bit of space in their closets for new stuff AND supports a great cause;
- TBDP then sells the dresses to future brides-to-be who want to look fabulous on their wedding day AND support a great cause; and
- Then TBDP donates the proceeds from the purchased dresses to support Breast Cancer Research.
Once the inventory we will be hosting soirees where brides to be can come and search for the dress of their dreams.
As women we are very powerful when we are brought together for the greater good.
